From Saint Louis, Missouri

O'reilly Auto Parts is now in a class action lawsuit filed in the St. Louis Division over their arrogant attitudes on employee rights.

Go to Justia.com dockets and fillings and look up Schmaltz v. O'Reilly Automotive Stores,Inc. If you got a check with a letter stating the companies inadvertently under payed their employees, thank us because they have apparently been doing it alot!!! Another arrogant ploy used by them to gain their $14 Billion dollars in profit!!!

This lawsuit is in Federal Court!!!

Stand up for your rights!! Time will tell, on how many folks actually benifit from this lawsuit!!

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

A bit overwrought, and no guidance as to what and why is going on. The most recent letter is basically signing up employees to share in 35% of the proceeds, the lawyers get 65%, and no one is saying how much is really on the table.

Does O'Reilly play fast and loose with hours, holidays, and vacation, yes. Managers have entirely too much discretion in blocking holidays and vacation - but not choosing or eliminating problem employees. It's creating an atmosphere where the incompetent are tolerated and the productive are overworked. The workplace atmosphere is one of constant belittling by management and a very narrow focus on making related sales and improving cash ticket averages.

Yes, it's become another Autozone, and the older employees are trapped in retirement plans, while the ones with 3-5 years look for other jobs. The most recent hires are all part time due to an effort to side step health care costs with a vengeance.

And yes, we are all tired of hearing about the latest quarterly record profit knowing we'll be only getting a 25c annual raise. If we're lucky.

Wages have stagnated over the last 5 years, and there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Just another sales challenge pushing the same old snake oil.
