Went to my local O reilly auto parts store in Camp Verde Az. the person on my receipt was named Patrick.

I went there to purchase a lower radiator hose for an early model GMC pickup truck, I got one hose but it was too small in diameter so I took it back to see if they had another one a size larger. This worker I am talking about kept getting the size of the engine wrong, had me repeat my phone number several times to update it in their system. He argued with me and shook his head stating and raising his voice to the point I actually wanted to just rip his head off he got me so upset. Even others behind the counter and in front were shocked at this workers attitude.

There is more to this but for the way this worker was acting, he needs not to be there unless he can understand simple mechanics of a vehicle in which the one I own is a custom built GMC and understanding its functions is key to any parts you need from any auto parts store. This jerk just would not listen and kept being unreasonable about the issue. To this point I can not understand why an individual like this can be employed to help customers in this field. I am a medical professional and if I was to do what he did, I would not be working for very long.

I told this worker now I have to go to another auto parts store due to this issue. Not a good look for Oreilly auto parts store. If this worker could just been able to say or ask someone else but argue with the customer the way he did, we would not be here now.

With this happening, now my relatives who live in this small town and their friends that I know will no longer be going to this place of business. Very bad and sad customer service at this auto parts store.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Oreilly Auto Parts Cons: Arogant, Way the worker argued with the customer.

The employee is only as good as his computer and the info that is given to him from the customer. You said you have a custom GMC, was there a different radiator installed other than a factory unit by the manufacturer, etc etc.

I assume that he is a minimum wage employee and a "professional" like you , so basically you get what you pay for so maybe next time shell out some bucks and go to a garage. But there are 2 sides to this story and I wonder what the employee or others in the store would say or add to your version.
