I worked for oreillys for 3 years and on 3/31/15 the loss prevention officer came in took me in the office and for 1.5 hours he sat there and told me a story about why people steal and would ask me why I did it. I had no clue what he was talking about and when I asked him what it was I had supposedly done he would start telling the *** story all over again.

I finally had enough and told mr michael panzano to tell me what it was I had done or he could take my keys. Still not telling me what it was he started telling the story all over again. I finally had enough and tossed my keys on the desk and walked out. The store I worked at for 3 years was on high shrink when I started there and was off of it when I left.

There was still some issues at the store but rather then look hard at the issues they decided that since I had been in a car accident 2 months prior that I was the issue. Thats a load of sh_ _ in my book and they know it.

I think its funny that the store is still having the same issues even tho I no longer work there. Guess they are going to have to take their heads out of their *** and look at their own policies and how they say make sure to always make the customer happy no matter what.

"Loss Prevention" has a habit of lying during their "interrogations" of people. I know of a number of cases where the employee being interrogated was being told outright, boldfaced lies- sometimes claiming things that are physically impossible and easily disproved.

They also have been suckers for "SCAN" training, pseudo-scientific *** from Israel that is supposed to use questionnaires and weird word parsing to detect lies.

Completely unproven and unscientific.

The manual for their instruction literally contradicts itself in numerous places.

The incompetence is staggering in some parts of the company.
