My name is Tikiha Valentine, I was hired at O'reilly Auto Parts in Florida on 3/5/07 as a RSS (Retail Sales Specialist) at $9.00 and hour. My MVR was ran at the time and came back NOT ELIGEIBLE to drive company vehicles, but my driver license is valid. I still was hired. I transferred to Georgia in 10/08, to attend school. The first day I arrived at my transfer location, I let management know of my MVR situation. I still helped out with the deliveries every single day, even with my license having excessive points. I was told ta1ke the delivery or go home. I took any delivery that I was asked to take. EVERYBODY KNEW, I MADE SURE IT WAS NO SECERET. The first situation: status change, from $8.35 to $8.60 and hour 6/7/09. When I asked management, what is going on? This is not right, on 6/8/09 status change from $9.35 to $9.63. So for a period of 9 months my pay was changed from $9.00 an hour when hired to $8.35 with out my knowledge. SEE ATTACHED COPIES OF STATUS CHANGE FROM OREILLY AUTO PARTS.

The second situation: In June me and my manager Errol Sessoms registered to take an ASEp2 exam on November 5th.. I called the training department on 10/08 to check on the status of my ticket for admission to take the test, I was told I was not eligible. I asked why? The gentlemen at the training department told me I had to be a full time employee to qualify to take the ASEp2 exam, I explained that I was full time. The gentlemen at the training department gave my direction of who I needed to talk to, to figure it out. I call Human Resources, spoke to a young lady, I was informed that my status change went from full time with benefits to part time with benefits on 8/31/09. That morning the district manager and the store manager was present. I asked the store manager what was going on. He was clueless, so I asked the district manager is this right can my manager change my status with out my knowledge? He say under certain circumstances yes, but you should have been informed ahead of time. Apparently there was a misunderstanding. On 10/18/09 my status change went from part time with benefits to full time with benefits.

On 11/5/09 I took the ASEP2 EXAM AND PASSED! My manager was stealing monies, time, and god know what else. I clocked in one morning in January and noticed that Wendie Baker was clocked in and she was not there, this had happened on more than one occasion. I called the TIPS hotline on more than one occasion. My manager called me an ***, MISS KNOW IT ALL, and many other things. When I asked my manager what is going to do about it? He said "what would you like me to do about ma'am" I said if you wont do something, I will. So I did. Shortly after that Errol Sessoms and Wendie Baker were fired.

THE THIRD SITUATION: in January I arrived at work to meet my new manager Greg M. I was told by my district manager that if anybody ask for Errol or Wendie to let them know they on vacation. Shortly after that I was asked to take a delivery, immediately I informed my new manager of my MVR situation, I was told to take the delivery anyway. My new manager Greg M, Looked over at Greg my district manager and told him. My MVR was ran again, because nobody could find my original. It came back VALID DRIVER LICENSE, BUT 18 POINTS!. Way to man points to drive the company vehicles. 1/31/2010 a Sunday, home office closed right? My status was changed again to from RSS to Merchandising specialist per Greg Locker, without my knowledge. On Monday 2/1/10 I was called into the office and was told either switch to day school so I can be available, get a Georgia License, or transfer to the warehouse. I was told the store I worked at could not afford a driver and keep me too. They needed

Someone to do both. Ok, The witness at the time was Jesee the TSM of our district.

I tried to get a GA license, I was not able to do so because I needed to establish residency, I as not able to switch to day classes because it was the middle of the term. So the only option left was the warehouse. I was informed on that day I had two weeks to make a decision. I chose the warehouse. I called payroll to find out what happ3ns to my entitlements? I already had 48 hours of time saved up, and on 3/5/10 would be my three year anniversary, which would have given me two weeks more vacation, sick days , and personal. I was told by payroll that they would pay out my 48 in the event of a F/T to a P/T status, but come 3/5/10 If I did not maintain at least 25 hours I would loose my entitlements due on 3/5/10

I informed my District manager of the situation with my entitlements, and he said " I DON'T HAVE 25 HOURS TO GIVE YOU" I reply, "It saddens me that after 3 years of loyal service my own management team will not allow me to get 25 hours for 15 day longer to keep my entitlements I worked so hard for!" I called the ware house and spoke to Jeff Shaw and April. And asked what I needed to do transfer to the ware house ASAP to keep my entitlements. I filled out the request form, sent it off. I have not heard nothing since 2/10. I called and called no one called back. I kept calling I spoke to April and Jeff again and was told as soon as something came up, they would call. One 2/14/10 a Sunday my status went from fulltime with benefits merchandising specialist to part time 24 hours exclude benefits parts specialist.

I was told by Greg Locker when called into the office that day they did not have a parts specialist position at this location! I asked to be transferred closer to my house because I could not afford to drive 50 mile a day on part time hours, I was told there were no hours available! I arrived at work the next week to find 3 new hires full time! I BELIEVE IT WAS RETAILITION to calling the tips hot line When hired, I did not drive, I did not apply for a driver position. I was hired as an RSS. I also asked to be transferred to the HUB store where it is busy enough and they have enough drivers, so I would not have to drive. I was told me Charles Ponder and Lance O'Donnell they had nothing for me and shut the door in my face!

I called the home office in Springfield to check up on my status to transfer to the warehouse, I was told to call the ATLANTA DC, I called they directed me to call Springfield. I called back to Springfield, I spoke with a young lady, she told me she would look into it and call me back. The young lady called back about two hours later to inform me that my attendance was an issue and that I could not transfer to the warehouse. I asked why? The young lady told me about 3 recent write ups…I was not aware of these write ups…She told me the dates and advised me to call my store manager to try to resolve the issue…I called my store manager and asked him about the write ups. The write ups were for "no call, no show" I explained that I was on Spring break. And that I did submit a "vacation request form" two copies…I submitted one last year, and another one when shortly Errol was fired and my store manager Greg new about it, and so did my DM…When I submitted my "request for transfer" to the warehouse in March, I called to see if it was received electronically…and it was. (Jeff Shaw gave me the information to request the transfer) it is now April 20. when I submitted the request for the transfer I had no write ups, that what I was told in early March, and that it would take two weeks to process. I've been waiting for this transfer since my status change on Sunday 2/14/10. I was told by Greg Locker that I had to do the transfer, and to speak to Jeff Shaw. So I did the request in the beginning of March. What is going on? What happened? Why? I don't know what to do anymore, I feel like because I called the T.I.P.S. hotline and the end result was the manager and a team member getting fired, I am being retaliated on! I would like someone to help me please. I don't know what to do, My management team is not exactly the best

Monetary Loss: $40.

Location: Athens, Georgia

I Worked for Oreilly auto parts store 3806 in salem oregon. I put my letter of resignation in 6 weeks before leaving the company for school. 3 weeks into my letter of resignation I found i was not admitted to college.

I asked my district manager to withdraw my resigantion. He said he had talked to human resources and told me they would not withdraw my resignation as he had hired someone to fill my spot. We then had someone quit and I asked my district manager if I could fill his spot my disdtrict manager then told me that he was not going to keep me on because of performance issues in the past, none of which i was aware of as I was only written up for something that they then found I did not do.

I then found we were opening new stores in the area and i asked my district manager if he would talk to that district manager and see if I could get a job in one of those stores and he said oh yeah sure. I then two weeks later called that district manager and he said my district manager had never talked to the other disrtrict manager.

On the performance issues we have had major amounts of money come up missing. Parts getting lost on delieveries. Employees who are continously and constantly late, and drugs found in delievery vehicles. But those people were never let go and I was let go for performance issues?

I was always on time and did my job constantly worked overtime when asked and cancelled my plans to go in and work on a moments notice. Yet I was let go for performance issues?

Also several times as a shift leader I asked for a raise and was denied and as a shift manager made only what starting employees made.

this is how oreillys reweards good employees

Get a lawyer and have him write a letter of intent to sue...if they do not respond...continue your actions...but 1st get written statements from everyone and copies of all paperwork and paystubs...showing pay changes and transfers..also get copies of "write ups"..they have to have your signature on them to be validated in any state!!! Remember they have very well educated lawyers...get a good one!!.....GOOD LUCK..been through this type with a very high profile PIZZA place that fired me for an employee saying I made a derogatory remark about him...Fired and denied unemployment benefits .......waited it out and did everything i had to do..including all paperwork and statements from all other employees...Received my benefits after 5 months....HANG IN THERE...and good luck

Keep climbing up the Chain of Command. But you had better be on the right side of things, and not just be having a pitty party.Document everything. Its a dog - eat - dog world...and we are surrounded by sharks...

Just a thought from someone who has been with the company since '97.....
