My husband is a life time resident in my community and very well known, he has have 20 years in auto parts sales. He applied for the managers position at one of the new O'Reilly store in Wisconsin, they offered him assistant manager at 10.00 an hour he declined, they called back and he accepted 12.00 an hour, along with this was doing part of the managers job of salesman, he is well known in the community that it was a plus to have him on the road.

After 2 1/2 years there was 4 parts stores now only 2. He was fired on 12/23/10 with no prior warnings for something that was suppose to have happened a year ago off work hours. Now they don't need him anymore, they had someone hired for his position before he was gone! I believe his being fired was a set up by his manager, district manager and new district manager so they can make more money, that's how O'Reilly works they have no respect for the employee's.

On a personal note, my husband is a good person, he was one of the older employees there (53) and everyday walking into work and being called old man, even carving it into his desk! When asked why he didn't say anything? He said he couldn't because it was his manager saying it! Many things have happened through the years at O'Reilly's and has put so much stress on his/our lives.

Now a few weeks have passed and I see a good change in my husband, being forced into this situation has been a blessing for us. Please before you consider a job at O'Reilly check out your local McDonald's or WalMart they pay more!

Location: Westby, Wisconsin

I am currently working at an O'Reillys in northern California. I love it.

Being a woman in this field is hard but I manage. I am also 19, a year out of high school, and I've been here a year and I've never had a problem. I go out of my way to help customers (coming in on my days off, finding parts outside of work, bring parts from home that I have no use for, ect.) I also want to be here. This is a great job and my manager as well as my DM and RM do for me what they can.

O'Reillys is a corporate job and there is only so much they can do within their power. I've never been harassed in my line of work. There has been a lot of employees come and go for personal reasons and because they didn't like working under so many corporate rules. But that's the thing.

It's a Corporate. It's not a small business where more things can be ignored with no consequence. Part of this job is dedication.

If you're not willing to put in the time or effort, then why should they waste their time on you??

Food for thought.

The thing is that this is an individual store, not every market is the same. He did not speak up about the incidents, so therefore He allowed it to continue, same thing happens with many other jobs.

I was a employee at oreilly auto parts for five years tomorrow. I was fired wrongly.

Being a female in this business is hard enough but. Being written up and on probation period and then eventually fired for the same thing others have done and they just get is talked to is beyond me. I was fired over less then four dollors short. Just to put a kid in my position because the manager and the kids sister were friends.

My husband had just had surgery and now I will no loner have money or insurance to take care of him. They new this but these selfish idiots do not care. I want to make them pay do you have suggestions. Sencerly.

Lori Baner :? :sigh

Currently working at O'Reilly's. Hate it.

I think they brought someone to replace me because we sure as *** don't have payroll for 2 ISS positions. I've beenwith CSK+O'Reilly's for five years. My store manager of 8 years just left and now everything is being turned into corporate this that and the other. All the indiscretions get noticed but any extra effort isn't acknowledged.

I used to like to help people and do extra work but it's misery going to work now. ~take this job and shove it~

Wonder if we all can get in on it?

i worked for kragen and then o'reilly. o'reilly cares more for it's customers than their employees.

they want you to do plano's all the time,(way more than kragen), but you have to keep your sales up. how are you supposed to do both.

we heard that someone has filed a class action suit against o'reilly. we can't wait to find out if o'reilly gets nailed to the wall.

I do it all the time. I do 90% of the Plano in the store and have won the RPMS challenge back to back so I think you all are just not really wanting to work hard for your money.

Hi there, Im a former O'really team member star at the company as a key carrier at $9.25 by hour

end up at 10.59 after 2 years of service on the company they never even make me a full time employee perhaps I probably averaged 55 hours a week, but they keep you as a part time so you never get full time benefits, finally I contact autozone's district manager and I did change companies starting at 12.59 at this time I got 2 raises and actually making 15.69 plus bonus, as a commercial store manager.

I had to turn in my old time badge and on the lanyard was all my training pins over 250 hours. My DC manager threw them out.

So that is what O'Reilly's thinks of there own training program. TRASH! This is the same DC manger that threw out my ten year service award and that came from the office manager mouth that it had been done.

Again that is what O'Reilly's thinks about there team members . Trash!!

Guest

Way to go O'Reilly's! You will dig your own hole with your quality workers!

Guest

The big O calls the employees team members, or TM for short, probably cuz if they used the term employee they would actually have to pay people money!!! LOL I worked for O'Reilly for near 4 years, I logged 450 hrs.

in their bs training system, what was my reward, not a dime, nickel, heck not even one penny was offered for my efforts.....(PS my training hrs were more than the MGR, ISS, and ASST. MGR) Way to go O'reilly, lets not utilize the people that actually help make you $$$$$$

I currently work there and it's horrible. I'm the only one still from the original crew from when I started.

Im a deliver driver and now have to work counter, but they complain when I don't do the other when I'm busy with the opposite. Also no pay raise and I've been doing both for over a year. I really think the manager dislikes me, because I'll forget to tuck my shirt in or wear my hoody when it's cold and get yelled at, but another employee never tucks in, wears a hoody, and this past week they haven't even been wearing they're uniform.

Plus out of now where I called in sick and now I need a doctors note, I'm not dying and not wasting money on ghat when I can just take some pepto and get some sleep. So if anyone wants to work there DON'T.

Guest

I have a friend that works there. First of all if something illegal or bad happened or something that your husband did after work hours got him fired.

You might need to check out what was going on through your husband. He might not be telling you the whole truth. O'Reilly does background check people. They also pay on how much you sell.

So if you want more money. Hey-- sell more parts
