I started as part time parts specialist with 10 yrs auto mechanics and a degree with a starting wage of $9 per hour. I was promoted to asst manager in 5 weeks!

Asked about my raise and my manager at the time said the dm said I would get a raise 30 days after holding that position. It never happened. Store manager quit during the summer [ same year ] because they wouldnt give him the money he deserved. The new manager came in and doesnt know about cars, respecting team members, or customers.

When I gt 6 months as asst. he gave me a bad eval so I wouldnt get a raise so I stepped down. Not doing all that work and making not enough money to raise my daughter and son. He cuts hours to make his bonus each month.

A few of us have had to work double shifts and after being there from open to close he takes that overtime away from us by giving us more time off. He is suppose to wrk 45 hrs a week and you are lucky to see him there 25-30. He has no respect for us so we have no respect for him. He will run it in the ground.

Already lost alot of commercial customers since he started there.

It was the most awesome place to work before he came there. Everyone loved their jobs, not so much anymore :-( Something must be done!!!!

You must get corporate involved. If all the employee's are complaining they will finally investigate.

You can't rely on the DM, they gave them that position, so for him to admit to failure is telling the RM he can't do his job. Above their heads is the only way to go. We have a store in our district in the same boat. Finally after the Assistant manager rallied the troops, the right people are getting involved.

Good luck to you.

Par for the course for this company. I started there at minimum wage because I needed a job.

I have 10 years experience as a counter person, so I figured after 90 days or so I'd get a raise... Yeah right. O'Reilly doesn't pay anyone what they deserve. And they keep everyone under 30 hours a week so they don't have to pay benefits.

It took me almost a year just to get them to make me full time.

Its not just your store, its the whole company. Eventually everyone that knows what they're doing will quit and it will be a whole company full of dumb *** like autozone.
