O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. was started in November of 1957 in Springfield, Missouri, where the company is currently headquartered. Originally it began as a family business and the company was in auto parts business. And today the company is a one of the leading auto parts retailers across the United States. In 1998, O'Reilly merged with Hi/LO Auto Supply and in 2005 the company purchased Midwest Automotive Distributors, Inc. Today, O'Reilly Automotive operates almost 2000 stores all over the United States.
